I became a bookkeeper without even realizing it.

Working a temp admin job in an office over a decade ago, I did a lot of filing things, stamping work orders as finished, and general data entry.

Out of all the tasks, my favorite part was tracking the receipts and expenses for the office manager who did the purchasing. Good ole’ excel spreadsheet and everything, because we kicked it old school.

Fast forward to creating a career in bookkeeping all these years later, I finally figured out where my drive for this work came from— a back office cubicle next to a cool guy from New Zealand, who patiently answered my one thousand daily questions, and only listened to Classic Rock.
